The Regional Government of Bizkaia is fully aware of the importance of Internet accessibility; enabling anyone to access the content provided by the Regional Government of Bizkaia. Hence, attempts have been made to comply with accessibility guidelines and to constantly improve.
There are currently certain websites of the Regional Government of Bizkaia that are not accessible. The main reasons for this are the technical complexity of the website in question or certain technological difficulties that still exist. However, the objective is to gradually ensure that all pages of bizkaia.net comply with accessibility guidelines.
The www.bizkaia.net website complies with accessibility requirements by following the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 1.0, level Double-A, and the XHTML 1.0 recommendations, placing particular emphasis on the separation of structure, presentation, content and functionality.

The www.bizkaia.net website has obtained AENOR Website Accessibility certification and it is currently in force by means of half-yearly technical inspections to check compliance of the requirements of UNE 139803:2004 standard, "Computer Applications for the Disabled.
